The Heat Resistant Wire is specifically designed for increased fire resistance in applications including power alarm and auxiliary control in emergency lighting systems, including fire alarm systems, voice alarm systems and applications designed in accordance with BS5266. These cables will form part of the BS8519 requirements for the installation of fire-resistant power and control cable systems for life safety and fire fighting applications.

This fire-resistant single-core and multi-core Heat Resistant Wire is suitable for use in a range of Control Circuitry categories. To provide additional protection against the risk of mechanical damage, we supply robust Firetec 'Power' and 'Impact Power' cables, both suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. 'Impact Power' is designed to withstand direct impact and water jet pressure. For more flexibility, we supply the FRF2 cable, a cable for bending around complex corners and a single core Tubesafe cable in environments such as the Istanbul Underground network.
Performance and Durability
Our fire performance Heat Resistant Wire and other fire resistant cables contain Mineral Insulated copper cables (MICC) designed to provide the highest level of fire resistance and good protection against electromagnetic interference. These high temperature cables are produced without any plastic insulation and provide circuit integrity up to 950oC. The LSZH features overheating in various color options. These cables are often used in hazardous and explosive environments or where corrosive chemicals may affect performance. LSZH insulated cables have LPCB approval. Polymers do not overheat have ATEX approval and comply with the EU directives for working in hazardous or explosive environments.
